Senator Vogel hails VEKA expansion announcement

Senator Elder Vogel applauded the announcement by VEKA, Inc. of its plans to expand its Fombell, Beaver County, plant and bring new jobs to the community.

“This is extremely good news for our area,” Senator Vogel said. “VEKA has been a great local company for many years. Now they’ve committed to an expansion project that will ensure that they remain a vibrant part of Beaver County, providing good jobs and creating new employment opportunities. That’s truly a success story for the company and the community.”

VEKA is planning a $6 million expansion project to accommodate the installation of new equipment for a new client. The project is expected to create 38 new jobs and retain another 364 positions.  The company received a funding offer from the Department of Community and Economic Development including a $190,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant, $114,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and a $17,100 Guaranteed Free Training grant which will be used to prepare its new workforce.

“This is an example of Pennsylvania stepping up to provide support for an existing company to assist it in undertaking a significant capital improvement project that will create jobs and boost the local economy,” Senator Vogel said.

VEKA, Inc. manufacturers and distributes vinyl extruded PVC profiles for the window and door manufacturing industry. The company sells predominately to the residential remodeling and new construction housing markets. VEKA also manufactures and distributes PVC fence lineals, kits and accessories to the fence and railing industry and deck lineals to the decking industry.
