My Rochester District Office is still collecting pet food for the non-profit organization, Meals on Wheels as part of their program that provides free dog and cat food to their pet-owning clients. Some clients feed a portion of their delivered food to their pets and do not have enough to properly feed themselves. This program helps ensure that both people and their pets have enough to eat.
Recently, it has come to my attention that Meals on Wheels is in dire need of cat food, above all other pet foods. According to Meals on Wheels, most of their clients are cat-owners. If you plan on donating animal food to Meals on Wheels, please consider donating cat food, which is desperately needed at this time.
Anyone interested in donating may drop off unopened bags, cans, or boxes of pet food to my office at 488 Adams St in Rochester. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, please call 724-774-0444.
