If you drive by the fountain at the eastern end of the State Capitol Complex over the next few weeks you may be surprised to see that the water is pink.
There’s no need to be concerned, though. The special coloring is intended to recognize October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Pennsylvania and is part of our efforts to promote public awareness and to combat this disease.
There are many activities planned for this month as part of the observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I urge you to support and take part in these events. For more information, please visit the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition website at http://www.pabreastcancer.org/
