Dog law poster contest open to elementary school students

The Department of Agriculture is inviting students in first through sixth grade to take part in the 2013 Dog Law Awareness Month poster contest, according to Senator Elder Vogel, Chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee.

The competition encourages students to create a poster that reflects this year’s theme – “License your dog. It’s his ticket home.”

Winners will be selected in three different divisions based on grade level and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in each division. Division winners will be featured on a page in the 2014 Dog Law Enforcement Office coloring book.

Entries must be received by the Department of Agriculture by April 30, and winners will be announced on or before May 24. Official rules and submission guidelines are available online at www.licenseyourdogPA.com.
