Senator Vogel Announces Event for First Responders

Program will honor Police, Fire, and EMS personnel

State Senator Elder Vogel, Jr. today announced that he will be holding a First Responders Appreciation Day on September 10, 2011 from 10:00am till 12:00pm at the New Brighton High School. This is a well deserved recognition day to honor all local Police, Fire, and EMS Departments for their community service.

“Too often we forget to thank the men and women that put their lives at risk for us every day,” Vogel said. “I hope that this event may act as a token of appreciation from a grateful community.”

A continental breakfast will be served, followed by a ceremony designed to pay tribute to the first responders in the 47th Senate District and throughout the country. First responders are invited to be recognized and Senator Vogel welcomes members of the community to attend to show their appreciation for the service of the First Responders.

For more information, please contact Senator Vogel’s office at 724-774-0444. Please RSVP as soon as possible.
