Municipalities, non-profits have until April 21 to file
Applications are now being accepted for a state grant program that promotes the rehabilitation and new development of parks and recreation facilities, according to Senator Elder Vogel (R-47).
The Department of Community and Economic Development Department will accept applications for the current round of C2P2 Community Recreation and Conservation grants until 4 p.m. on April 21.
C2P2 grants are awarded to municipalities and authorized nonprofit organizations for recreation, park and conservation projects including acquisition of land for active or passive park and conservation purposes for planning and feasibility studies.
Most projects require a 50 percent match except for some technical assistance grants and development projects eligible as small community projects whose total project cost is $60,000 or less.
