Monaca Borough Receives $4.2 Million State Loan

Water system project will upgrade service to Monaca Heights

The Borough of Monaca will receive $4.2 million in state funding to upgrade its water system, according to Senator Elder Vogel (R-47). The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) approved the low-interest loan at its board meeting today (October 27).

The borough will apply the financing toward the replacement of 11,000 feet of deteriorated water lines and the construction of a new 500,000 gallon water storage tank in order to improve water service in Monaca Heights.
