Senator Vogel to Host Events for Senior Citizens

Senator Elder Vogel, Jr. would like to invite all area seniors and their families to join him for two special events during his free 2020 Senior Expo.

This year’s expo will take place over two days, beginning with a senior-focused telephone town hall set for 2 p.m. on Monday, August 24, where seniors can call in and hear from Senator Vogel, local officials and community partners.

Anyone interested in participating in the telephone town hall may register to receive a call by signing up at: http://senatoreldervogel.com/telephone-town-hall or by calling (724) 774-0444.

On Thursday, August 27, Senator Vogel will host a Drive-Through Senior Expo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community College of Beaver County, 1 Campus Drive, Monaca. Constituents are invited to drive by and say hello, while receiving a free gift bag, loaded with informational materials and entertainment.

Staff on hand will be equipped with personal protective equipment and will load vehicles with the gift bag, as guests are not allowed to exit their vehicles for safety reasons. Signs or traffic controllers will be on site to direct guests through the event.

The event meets standards set by the Governor and Department of Health (DOH) to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 virus. Senator Vogel asks participants to stay up-to-date on DOH safety regulations at the time of the event, including staying home if you are not feeling well or are experiencing symptoms.

Scheduling, content, and details of this event is subject to change and/or cancellation at any time. Senator Vogel will announce any changes as soon as possible.
