March 8, 2011 - Senator Vogel discusses Governor Tom Corbett's proposed 2011-12 state budget, which calls for reduced spending and no new taxes.

January 2011 - The new Chairman of the Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, Senator Elder Vogel Jr. tours the 95th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg with Dauphin County Senator Jeff Piccola. It is the largest indoor Agriculture show of its kind in the country.

May 4, 2010 - Senator Vogel participates in a news conference in support of Senate Bill 828, which eliminates the ability of the Department of Agriculture to cite non-profit community groups such as churches, booster clubs and volunteer fire companies for selling non-potentially hazardous home-baked food at fundraisers. Senator Vogel is the sponsor of the bill.
