State Loan to Support Local Business Expansion

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority today (July 3) approved a low-interest loan to support a major expansion project for a Beaver County business, according to Senator Elder Vogel (R-47).

Beemac Trucking, LLC of Beaver County was approved for a $1,573,087 loan through the Beaver County Corporation for Economic Development for the construction of a new full-service maintenance and repair facility in Ambridge. The project will allow the company to create 24 full-time jobs in addition to its existing 190 full-time jobs.

“This is great news for the community,” said Senator Vogel. “This investment will help the company move forward on a major project that will create new jobs and enhance the local economy in several ways. The project will provide important enhancements to Beemac Trucking’s maintenance and service capabilities.”

Beemac Trucking provides asset-based trucking, logistics, port, warehousing, and specialized services to customers throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The funding will be used for construction of an eight-bay state-of-the-art maintenance facility and a service shop with a 110-space paved truck and trailer marshaling area. The total project cost is $3.1 million.
